The LuminOx Sealed Optical Oxygen Sensor range is designed for applications where only the front face of the sensor is exposed to the sample gas. Developed and manufactured by SST, this sensor is part of the LuminOx family of factory-calibrated optical sensors that measure oxygen using luminescence quenching. It includes onboard temperature and barometric pressure compensation, allowing for direct output of corrected values via USARTโno external signal conditioning required.
The LOX-02-S builds on the LOX-02 with a sealed, gas-tight base, ensuring only the sensing face is exposed. This design simplifies integration while keeping the sensor pins accessible. Using SSTโs patented optical technology, the sensor offers low power consumption and a longer lifespan than galvanic or electrochemical alternatives. LuminOx is solid-state, lead-free, and RoHS compliant. Its low cross-sensitivity ensures stable performance in complex gas environments. It outputs %Oโ, ppOโ, barometric pressure, temperature, and statusโall via a single interface.
