The LuminOx Flow-Through Optical Oxygen Sensor ensures a clean gas sample stream, allowing complete separation from the process environment. Developed and manufactured by SST, the LuminOx Flow-Through Optical Oxygen Sensor is part of the LuminOx familyโa range of factory-calibrated sensors that measure ambient oxygen levels using fluorescence quenching technology (also known as luminescence quenching).
The LOX-02-F model enhances the standard LuminOx oxygen sensor range with faster response times. Its sealed flow-through housing enables optimal sample gas management and offers flexible sensor placement. Leveraging patented non-depleting technology, SST has developed a suite of sensors with extended lifespans, outperforming traditional galvanic sensors in similar applications. Each LuminOx oxygen sensor features built-in temperature and barometric pressure compensation, eliminating the need for external adjustments. It connects directly to the customerโs USART, requiring no additional signal conditioning circuitry.
LuminOx is a solid-state sensor containing no lead or liquid electrolytes, ensuring 100% RoHS compliance. With virtually no cross-sensitivity, it excels in environments where other sensor technologies struggle with mixed gas compositions. By measuring the partial pressure of oxygen (ppOโ), combined with internal barometric pressure data, the sensor calculates oxygen concentration (Oโ%). The USART output delivers Oโ%, ppOโ, barometric pressure, internal temperature, and sensor status for streamlined integration.
